Mad Hunt does it all
As the temperature rises, so does the need for pleasantly refreshing mixed drinks. The Mad Hunt is the perfect mixed drink for summer moments: fruity, sunny and spicy, a little bit crazy, but deliciously restful. Here's how to make it. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and 40 ml Jachtbitter, 20 ml lemon juice, 20 ml sugared water and 40 ml orange juice. Give it a relaxed shake, sieve into a tumbler filled with ice and garnish with a slice of orange and a mint leaf. Cheers!

Sanctuaries celebrate their thirtieth birthday (quietly)
It's thirty years ago this year since the Netherlands first became familiar with the phenomenon of 'sanctuaries'. Today, hundreds of thousands of hectares have been designated as sanctuaries, 200,000 of them in the Waddenzee. In a sanctuary, any sounds that don't belong within this natural environment are generally absent. The flora and fauna speaks for itself here. Wonderful for whatever happens to live here, but just as great for holidaymakers seeking peace and quiet. Beautiful examples include Horsterwold in Flevoland and Keijenhurk in North Brabant. So go ahead and celebrate - in silence of course …
